The Schedule

April 23  The Great Exchange  (2 Corinthians 8.9) "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich."

April 30 The Great Event  Part I (Mark 1.15) Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel.”

May 7  The Great Work (Philippians 1.6)  Of this I am confident, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ

May 14 The Great Emptying (Philippians 2.5-12 )  Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.  And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.  Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

May 21 The Great Truth (John 3.16) For God so loved the world that he gave his Son to the end that all who believe him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

May 28--July 2  Wise Living (The Book of James) From hopping around the whole New Testament, we now turn to walk through the Book of James, led by the Rector, for...as long as it takes! Maybe we will finish by July 2, or maybe not. We will step into Chapter 1 of this accessible, yet profound New Testament letter.
