As a way of equipping the congregation for ministry, we established the Center for Learning and Ministry
We offer trainings, study days, retreats, classes, talks, and instruction in matters both practical and academic. Along with worship, this is the primary way that adult formation in faith happens.
Bible Study
In 2026 we continue our ongoing Tuesday Bible Study at noon in Room G-4. A close call for Isaac! Jacob wrestles with an unexpected opponent! Joseph forecasts a famine! Those are just a few of the stories we will be covering on Tuesdays this fall at our weekly study of Genesis. The Rev. Mark Pruitt or The Rev. Dr. Paul Gaston guide our discussions. We meet in G-4. Discipleship Explored in Two Ways:
Be Renewed for The Sake of the Gospel

The Rev. Susan Tiffany will keep Sunday nights alive by leading Discipleship Explored for men and women, a deep dive into The Letter to the Philippians, lasting six weeks from October 11th through November 15th beginning at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

A new initiative, sparked by requests from men who want to grow in faith, and grow in community: Discipleship Explored, starting on Tuesday, Oct. 13th and lasting six weeks. Led by The Rev. Develop a Scriptural Imagination!
First Tuesdays at 7:00 pm

This wonderful opportunity resumes on Tuesday, Oct. 6th at 7:00 pm. Led by The Rev. Dave Scavuzzo. Again, the group will think about Scripture through the imaginative writings of those who bring light to the way of Jesus.
We’ll meet in Room G-4 the first Tuesday of every month. No homework is needed. We come as we are to read and to share, and to deepen our joy, wisdom and insight. Here’s the schedule:
