Missions & Outreach

‘As the Father sent me, so I send you,’ said Jesus (John 21:20).

Jesus words to the first disciples apply to us, too. They inspire us to move in our world. So we proclaim the gospel in word and deed by meeting human needs beyond our immediate membership. We respond to longstanding, everyday, needs—locally, nationally, and internationally. And to the needs created by crises.

Our Missions Team

Our Missions’ Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Outreach goes on, of course, daily here.  Our Outreach Brochure (coming soon) names our primary mission activities and explains more.

  • The Community Assistance Program (CAP)
  • The Community Meal
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Barnabas Employment and Reentry Ministries
  • St. Etteine’s in Haiti
  • African Educational Partnership
  • Family Promise
  • Victims’ Assistance Program
  • Samaritan Summer Youth Mission

Much of the funding for these and other needs comes through our special Christmas and Easter Offerings, and designated gifts.
