A brief video follows this format, providing one new way to worship together. Our offerings are a work-in-progress.

Welcome

The Collect of The Day

Gracious Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ came down from heaven to be the true bread which gives life to the world: Evermore give us this bread, that he may live in us, and we in him; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Prayers

(The congregational response will be “Lord, have mercy” after I say, “In this time . . . ”)

For all whose day starts with anxiety,  as they leave the security of home; Loving God, be close, keep them safe, along with all whose tasks this day includes the care of frail and elderly. And for us all, grant wisdom to make sensible choices, not just for ourselves, but for everyone. In this time….

Lord, have mercy.

Give wisdom, Lord, to all in authority,to leaders of nations and local communities, that actions and words are prompted by the needs of others, not personal gain. That all might ask, ‘Who is my neighbor?’ seeing through your eyes, what is best for others. In this time….

Lord, have mercy.

Loving God, what we desire is this; that people see not us, but through our smile, greeting, helping hand or helpful word, your love reach out and touch. Keep us focused through this day wherever you might take us, and may your name be glorified. In this time….

Lord, have mercy.

Bless the good neighbors, Lord, who call to check that all is well, with those unable to get out, and whose gentle act of service brings a ray of light into a day that would otherwise be cheerless. Bless them, and all who likewise give of their time for others in following your good example, that this might become a better and more caring world in which to live. In this time….

Lord, have mercy.

Bless all who work in stressful situations; healthcare, teaching, law enforcement, social services and other occupations where patience, love and perseverance can wear thin, and daily stress levels rise. Keep them safe and keep them well, equipped to follow their vocation through the most difficult of times. And at the end of their day, grant rest. In this time….

Lord, have mercy.

We pray for our communities: for people who are our neighbors. We pray for all of them; For those we know by name and those less familiar faces. Bless their homes and families,  and let your love and peace so shine in our communities that smiles turn to conversations, and strangers become friends. We pray this through Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Amen

Homily

I Am The Bread Of Life

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
