Waiting, But Not Wasting

A Waiting Time, But Not Wasting Time. This is not a perfect motto (what motto is?), but it's one that is sticking with me in this unique time. We are waiting for a set of signs to signal that our normal routines can begin again. We're waiting for an all-clear sign to resume normal social interaction and to get back to work, a eureka moment for the discovery of a vaccine and a pharamecuetical cure, and a downturn on graphs which show the rising incidence of infection and deaths. Waiting isn't easy. One temptation--I stress, one--will be to overdose on news and alarm. Sucking in information hour after hour is hardly healthy. I hope not to waste this time. Will you make a commitment to be productive in some way?

We will be posting on this page reflections and guidance on ways to sustain faith, joy, wisdom, and the like during this trying time. On Sunday, March 22, that same page will have A Devotional Video which we will offer every Sunday at 10:00 am during this time of altered patterns in society and church.
